About the Owner
Jez Dyke is the owner of Dubtricks and manager of a small team of VW Specialists. Jez set up his garage in Dacre in 2006, and has since been restoring, slamming, customising and generally looking after a growing number of Aircooled VWs (and one or two water cooled ones) from across North and West Yorkshire and increasingly from further affield (Glasgow, Cumbria, Lancashire, London...) as our reputation has grown and word has spread.
Jez has worked on VWs almost all his life, and has run a number of previous businesses over the years related to VWs and also to auto electronics and audio systems.

He developed a passion for VWs at an early age, after his uncle bought a race beetle, and it is a passion that he has continued throught his adult life. The first Vehicle Jez ever (officially) owned was his 1972 Bay Window Camper (Donkey), which he bought when he was just 20, and has now owned for 17 years! A surf dude at heart, Jez has also built and recently sold a VW based Beach Buggy, and has owned 2 VW Beetle Bajas over the years.....one sold, the other awaiting restoration!

Jez's also sold his 1972 Beetle (Custard) and his show winning 1974 VW Thing (MItch) in order to raise funds to set up his business, but both went to excellent homes! See photos below:

Currently Jez is driving a yellow VW T4, and is finding that this can be just as much fun as a T2!
Tucked away behind his workshop, Jez also has a VW based Trike, a 1966 Beetle, and an awsome Roof Chop Beetle which will definitely turn some heads when he finally gets time to restore it and gets it out on the show scene!.
