VW Festival Dates Announced!

Dates for this years VW Festival have just been announced - 16 - 17 August 2008.

'Gmund' Beetle Finished and on it's Way to the NEC

This week we finished work on a 1953 Oval. This Beetle belongs to Andrew Mearns from Gmund Cars, a Porche specialist based in Knaresborough, and is to be taken to the Classic Car Show at the NEC in Birmingham to be used as a display car for his range of Swissvax high performance car care products. Andrew had already done a lot of work to this car before he brought it to us, but we were able to help him with the finishing touches, i.e building and fitting the 1641 engine and Bullet gearbox, fitting the narrowed front beam, disc brakes front and rear, custom audio system, plus a complete  new interior by Rob The Upholsterer at Harlequin  Upholstery.

DUBTRICKS Wins 2nd Show & Shine Trophy of the Year!

Following on from our sucess in the Show & Shine competition at Dub Odyssey, where we won 'Best Other' for our VW Thing 'Mitch', Dubtricks also came runner up in this weekends VW Festival 2007 Show & Shine Competition at Harewood House in Leeds. Mitch was ranked in the Top 10 runners up places, along with our favourite Beetle, Rufus the blue Karmann Cabriolet, belonging to one of our Customers, Stuart Mcarthur.

We would also like to congratulate our friends at the <placew:ston>Harrogate and District VW Club on winning Best Club Stand at harewood VW Festival for the third year running!

DUBTRICKS Wins Show & Shine Trophy at Dub Odyssey!

Dubtricks were proud to win the 'Best Other' catergory in Show & Shine competition at Dub Odyssey in Sheffield this weekend, with 'Mitch' - our bright orange 181. We were particularly pleased to win this award because it was voted for by the public and because the standard of the VWs in the competition was so high. Thanks to Sheffield VW Owners Club for organising the event - we look forward to Dub Odyssey 2008!
