Rufus - 1979 1303 Karmann Cabriolet
Rufus is an immaculate 1979 VW 1303 Beetle Karman Cabriolet. Painted in his original colour of River Blue Metallic, with widenened wings, 17" Porsche alloys and Porsche cooling fan on the 1776cc engine. He has CSP disc brakes all round and a CSP stainless exhaust. He also has access panels in the sides of the engine bay, to allow access to the spark plugs. He also has a front strut brace to stiffen up the front end.
Rufus has had a full re-spray within the last 18 months (due to paint fading, although he had no rust at all!) and and has been turned on his side to fully paint and protect the chassis and floor.
He has a wood rim steering wheel and Flat-Four shifter. He has had head rests fitted to the rear seats and matched to the original leather of the interior, in order to make it more comfortable for passengers travelling in the rear, and intertia seatbelts have also been fitted in the rear.
